Prague has been recognized as the most beautiful city in the world
On 8th September 2021 Time Out magazine published a ranking list of the most beautiful cities in the world. The ranking was compiled based on a survey of 27 000 people from around the world.
According to the surveyed people, Prague was recognized as the most beautiful city in the world, beating out Paris, New York, Rome and Chicago. Time Out magazine particularly praised Prague's architecture, with styles such as Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau. The Prague residents who took part in the poll highlighted the beauty and picturesque appearance of the historic streets of the Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Astronomical Clock, Letná Gardens and the Vltava waterfront. In their opinion, Prague is the city where you can buy a coffee, go for a walk and enjoy the beauty and atmosphere of the metropolis.
The magazine also published a ranking of the best cities to relax in, Prague was in second place. It's not surprising, as there are many parks, museums, galleries and theatres to give you plenty of space to relax.
